I have spent 7+ years building and leading engineering across web, API, and cloud systems, most recently on high-stakes production systems, where reliability, security, and cost are not optional and a wrong decision carries real consequences.
My work now centers on production AI and the systems underneath it: helping teams take AI from a promising demo to something that survives real users, real load, and real scrutiny. I care about the parts that decide whether a system holds up, the architecture, the failure modes, and the economics, not the parts that only look good in a walkthrough.
I also write in the open. The Artisan's Playbook covers engineering leadership and system design. The Prompt Engineering Playbook covers building reliable AI systems. Alongside the writing there are open-source repositories and a few launched products.
